Invent.ai, a global leader in retail inventory optimization and multi-agentic AI, has been named the winner of the AI Project of the Year category at the 2026 Retail Systems Awards, recognizing the company's success in helping retailers transform planning and inventory operations through its AI-decisioning platform.
Now in its 21st year, the Retail Systems Awards celebrates excellence and innovation across the retail technology sector. The AI Project of the Year category recognizes organizations that have successfully deployed artificial intelligence beyond proof of concept, demonstrating measurable operational improvements, streamlined workflows and business outcomes at scale.
Invent.ai was selected for its ability to help retailers move beyond reporting and prediction to intelligent action. Powered by a network of specialized AI agents, the invent.ai platform continuously analyzes demand, inventory, product and operational data to recommend and execute the best inventory and merchandising decisions in real time.
The award-winning submission highlighted invent.ai's work with retail customer Alo Yoga, where the platform helped improve forecasting, allocation and inventory performance through AI-powered demand sensing, assortment optimization and automated decisioning. By analyzing live sales signals, seasonal demand patterns and localized market dynamics, invent.ai enabled inventory to be aligned more closely with customer demand while supporting the retailer's rapid product launch strategy.
The deployment improved product availability, strengthened inventory performance and increased sales while helping build organizational confidence in AI-driven decision-making. The project demonstrated how retailers can use multi-agentic AI to align inventory with demand, reduce manual decision-making and scale more effective planning and execution processes across the enterprise.
“The quality of entries this year was exceptional and reflects the pace of innovation taking place across the sector,” said Jonathan Easton, Editor of Retail Systems. “The Retail Systems Awards continue to showcase the very best technology in the industry, and it was a pleasure to celebrate their success.”
"Winning AI Project of the Year validates what we've believed from the beginning: retailers don't need more data, they need better decisions," said Gurhan Kok, Founder and CEO of invent.ai. "Our multi-agentic AI-decisioning platform helps retailers continuously optimize inventory, merchandising and planning decisions in a way that's adaptive, scalable and aligned to real-world demand. The result is improved availability, stronger financial performance and more efficient operations."
The Retail Systems Award is the latest industry recognition for invent.ai's AI-decisioning platform. Earlier this month, the company was named a finalist in the Ecommerce Awards, organized by IMRG and Ecommerce Expo, in the Most Innovative Use of AI in Data Management category. Invent.ai was also recently named Best AI-Powered Retail Decisioning Platform in the Global Excellence Awards, recognizing the company's continued innovation in helping retailers turn data into real-time decisions and measurable business outcomes.
